Research – Partners in development
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) assumes that Dutch companies, as ‘partners in development’, contribute to sustainable development in developing countries. MFA carries out various activities within the budget of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation (BHOS) to encourage companies to make such contributions. Examples include the Dutch Good Growth Fund, the Sustainable Water Fund and the Sustainable Trade Initiative. This evaluation explores the extent to which these activities have produced the desired results.
To what extent have activities under the BHOS policy that encourage Dutch companies to contribute to sustainable development in developing countries generated the desired results?
