Interviews – Integrated police training mission in Kunduz: Local perceptions

One of the studies that contributed to IOB’s ‘post-mission evaluation’ of the Dutch Kunduz mission were interviews in Afghanistan with local experts and people involved. Interviewees were asked to share their views on the extent to which the mission aims – improving the local police and justice system – were achieved five years after the mission, and why. They were also asked what they thought did and did not go well in the mission. The key findings have been incorporated in the main report of the post-mission evaluation. The report of this study contains more detailed findings and an explanation of the methodology used.

The report of this study was drafted by Michael McEvoy, commissioned by, and in close cooperation with, IOB. The views, findings and conclusions expressed in this report belong solely to the author.
