The Promoting Renewable Energy Programme (PREP) aimed to contribute to poverty reduction, gender equality and a reduction of the negative effects of the use of energy on the climate. The programme was implemented in 33 countries. Indonesia was one of the countries included in the programme. IOB conducted an impact evaluation of Dutch supported programmes in the area of Energy and Development in Indonesia. The study is based on three case studies in the field of micro-hydro power, domestic biogas, and geothermal electricity generation.
