IOB evaluated Dutch diplomatic and military efforts in the Red Sea region, primarily between November 2023 and August 2024. In response to Houthi attacks on international merchant and navy ships, the Netherlands contributed to three military operations and a diplomatic track. IOB examined the extent to which Dutch objectives were achieved and what lessons can be learned for future operations.
