Substudy – Discussion paper on effects of developed countries’ policies in developing countries

This substudy, conducted by ECDPM, forms a preparatory study for the evaluation of policy coherence and policy effects on food security, water and climate in developing countries. The report discusses the – sometimes unintended, sometimes negative – effects of developed countries’ policies in developing countries. The accompanying summary focuses on a selection of what IOB considers to be the developed countries’ policies with the biggest policy coherence risks.

IOB commissioned ECDPM to conduct this study. The opinions expressed in the report rest solely with the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of IOB.
