Marian Noppert has been working at IOB as coordinating policy researcher since 2024, in the cluster of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation. Previously, she worked at the Department for Stabilization and Humanitarian Aid (2020-2024) and at the Dutch embassies in Kampala and Cairo (2018-2020). Areas of expertise include: development approaches to forced displacement (Prospects partnership), migration, youth participation and climate adaptation.

Before working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she conducted evaluations as a consultant for Amref Flying Doctors, WaterAid, SNV and FRES solar energy in Ethiopia and Uganda (2016-2018). She studied Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University in Nijmegen, conducting research in the Netherlands, India and Uganda.
