One of the UN’s goals is to achieve universal access to modern forms of energy before 2030. IOB carried out a comprehensive literature review, which yielded a total overview of the evaluations and reports dealing with the impact of renewable-energy interventions on the environment of individuals, households and communities in rural areas. This revealed that behaviour is more important than innovations in the area of renewable sources of energy.
